Odysseus journey home in the Odyssey is a journey many veterans face.
Seeing the ads for the upcoming Nolan film adaptation of the odyssey got me thinking about the story. In a metaphorical sense a lot of Odysseus faces are the same challenges ive seen my fellow marines face when coming back from OIF/OEF. Drugs (lotus eaters), feeling your someone your not (Calypso enchanting the crew), seeing friends pass away (navigating the underworld), potential unfaithfulness in the marriage (the suitors).
Idk if that was Homer's inent when he wrote it but in my mind this keeps it relevant because you can in a loose sense see some of the same struggles.

The duality of man
Two most recent builds. Top is essentially all radian, with a reptilian stock, trijicon optics, B&t suppressor, larue trigger.
Bottom is a M16a2 clone..nothing special.
