r/bodega's Official Deli Board

If there’s one place serving Reddit’s most unique corners of the internet, it’s New York City. So of course, we’ve built a special deli board of “subs” featured at our bodega pop-up. From today’s top food and sports subs (let’s go Knicks) to NYC’s biggest local hubs, we’re featuring them fresh at our counter. 

Note: While these aren’t actual sandwiches, they’re real subs to explore and join. Zero calories, just as satisfying. (Though if anyone tries to recreate these as real sandwiches, we’d LOVE to see it.)

Howdy mods! It’s u/iceeypisces from the Mod Events team back again to lead this week's Mod Topics conversation. With our third New Mod Bootcamp of the year, aka Reddit’s livestreamed crash course for new moderators, we’re collecting advice from some of the best folks on Reddit. 

Whether you start a new community from scratch or join a mod team, there’s a lot to juggle as a new moderator. Between creating content and inviting new members, it’s easy for things to slip through the cracks.

So we’d love to know: what’s something new mods tend to overlook? You can think back to things you looked past when you first started. Maybe it’s a setting you didn’t discover until months in. Or it’s a habit that would’ve saved you a ton of time. We’d love to hear it, along with any other advice you wish you’d had on day one.

So, we want to know: What is one question you would like to ask experienced mods? Perhaps you’re wondering how to invite your first few members to your space. Or maybe you’re still trying to figure out how to set up Flair.

Whether you just started modding this year or have years of mod experience under your belt, we’d love to hear any session ideas or content you’d enjoy seeing this year. Some sessions we’ve hosted in the past include:

• AMA with veteran mods
• How to spark engagement in your community
• How to build and manage mod teams
• Tips on finding your first few members (and how to keep them coming back)

We’re open to all ideas. Lead it. Co-present it. Or nominate it. Whatever it is, just do it and send it by July 3!

Our commitment to you: every proposal will be reviewed. While this doesn’t guarantee your submission will make it into Mod World, it might be a great fit for a future Mod Event. We may merge a few ideas into a super session. The possibilities are endless!

All Mod World 2026 sessions and speakers will be locked in by mid-August.
