First off, thank y’all for not spoiling anything for me as I watch The Wire for the first time. I’ve posted a few thoughts here along the way, and I genuinely appreciate everyone letting me experience this masterpiece without spoilers.

I’m a huge Idris Elba fan, and I absolutely loved Stringer Bell’s character. It felt so good rooting for him and the Barksdales, despite knowing exactly what kind of people they were. When Season 3 ended, I naively thought there was no fucking way the writers could top that. Boy, was I wrong!

- Prez has had such an amazing character arc since Season 1.
- Marlo is such a cool, menacing presence, especially with Snoop and Chris alongside him.
- Colvin? That man is my personal GOAT!!!

What continues to blow my mind is how the writers manage to put you in so many conflicting POVs, challenge the biases you didn’t even realize you had, and then make you question your own conclusions without ever explicitly telling you what to think. One minute you’re rooting for someone, the next you’re questioning why the hell you were rooting for them in the first place. The writing is so flipping good because almost nobody is presented as entirely right or wrong.

I’m only on Season 4, Episode 11, and I genuinely cannot believe how consistently brilliant this show has been. Please, no spoilers beyond S4E11!

His attitude has been a bit stink, he’s been taking more personal blows at Joe (Joe does deserve some of them). All in all he’s just not connecting recently IMO

First off, I don’t think it’s possible for jurors to completely avoid social media, news, or talks with family when it’s a case this big.

As much as people think they should be punished for the crime, a lot more empathy is starting to show up, especially for Sean. I think it’s because people are seeing all the good opportunities Sean had, and the fact he still chose this street life scares the tf outta parents trying to keep their kids away from this street shit.

And honestly, Sean crying on the stand might hit some jurors harder than people expect. Not saying it erases what happened, but seeing emotion like that humanizes him. That kind of moment can make it harder for jurors to feel comfortable giving somebody the death penalty, especially if they start seeing him as a broken kid instead of just a monster.

I don’t think any one RnB artist can mess with Chris Brown in a Verzuz, so he can battle 3 artists or 2 artists and one group? Like

1. Chris vs B2K, Mario and Bobby V?
2. Chris vs Pretty Ricky, Lloyd and Miguel
3. Chris vs Sisqo, Dru Hill, Sisqo’s best friend from Kindergarten and the whole Baltimore
4. Chris Brown vs Tank, Ginuwine, Tyrese, the Fast and Furious crew and the Transformers crew?

That’s the only way it’ll be fair
