Just a PSA. If you have Cholla wood in your bettas tank. Put sponge or something in the ends to block it. I had my girl get stuck in it. Was very difficult to get out and was too much trauma for her to survive:( just wanted to let others know so they can prevent it. Cholla wood is often marketed for bettas but is a Chinese finger trap waiting to happen. Rip my baby.

I feel like I’m going crazy can someone help me with some insight on my tanks nitrate readings? I know it’s dark but it’s definitely orange and not red. Is this in the 10-30ppm range? Readings are about a week apart not water change. What are everyone’s votes?
