ALVR unplayable on POP!os 24

system:
CPU: ryzen 5 7600x
GPU: RTX 4070 SUPER
visor: quest 3

months ago i tried ALVR and was running smoothly, some time has passed (didn't used it for university reason) and today it doesn't work anymore.

i cannot select H264: when connecting with the visor there's an error saying: "provided device doesn't support required NVENC feature"

when selecting HEVC i can connect, but it's literally unplayable:

i don't even know what happens with the throughput, spikes of literals GB/s

the biggest delay is the game render (in this case only steamVR), other delays are quite stable

the framerate seems playable looking through the visor, but when moving the head is costantly jumping and the controllers aren't there.

changing resolution, hz, TCP/UDP changes nothing, the reaction is still the same.

and it continues with those desync messages until i kill manually steamVR (also for not throwing up in the visor for the costant jumping of the view)
another thing is that the head movement is smooth, but it jumps every 15 seconds, especially if I move my head.
with big movements i see the void (black borders outside the view)

[automobilista 2] how to launch on POP!os 24

system:

i've tried with the ARMGDDN and the online-fix version, but none have worked.

there are always some errors:
failed to load original steam client error:126
the game launches but fails login so it closes down

i've also tried DLL overrides for both but it doesn't work: `WINEDLLOVERRIDES=OnlineFix64=n;SteamOverlay64=n;winmm=n,b;dnet=n;steam_api64=n;winhttp=n,b`

tried through steam with proton and heroic with various settings (proton GE, wine, with/without umu, with/without steam-runtime..."

did any of you made this game run on linux?

also, i NEED the VR to work on this one

create robot descriptor/URDF from STEP file

i'm looking for a guide/help to build a URDF file (or the format for nvidia isaac lab) from a STEP file.

the robot is the freenove big hexapod kit and the STEP file was kindly provided from freenove herself.

I've already tried with ROBOTCAD but the absence of guides or clear indications made the task quite impossible for now (other than the fact that the file is a flat tree of components)

other than the geometry of each link, the file must also have collisions and inertia for simulation and RL on gazebo/nvidia isaac lab.

are there any tools/guide that i can use?

300mbps limit on Realtek RTL8125BG 2.5G LAN (POP!os 24)

i have an asrock A620I Lightning WiFi with AMD ryzen 5 7600X and the LAN is limited to only 300mbps.

i've tried to modprobe the r8125 driver from the r8125-dkms deb (i think?, installed with apt) but it doesn't load (even with the base r8169 module removed) leaving me without internet unless i load the base module

as you can see the r8125 module is installed:

i NEED the full speed of LAN because i'm gonna use PCVR on this desktop, and before on windows i had the full speed of the LAN.

could you help me with this issue?
