Rage/disgust/emptiness

Hello everyone

I'm 46 and I've been addicted to hardcore porn for 25 years. Quit it 3 weeks ago. In the evening or at nights, I have those weird, overwhelming feelings of sexual rage, disgust and emptiness. Anyone has experienced it?

Feeling condemned

Hi

I’ve been struggling with depressive-anxiety disorders since I was a teenager. I’m 46 now. My first episode of depression was when I was 19. Then I had further episodes when I was 30 and 38.

It always seemed to follow the same pattern. Basically, tension, stress, sadness, negative and destructive thoughts, and these painful, destructive philosophical ruminations would eventually lead to a kind of crash in my mood. There would be some mild dissociation, or perhaps not quite psychosis, but definitely a certain sense of being detached from reality, along with a very strong depressive mood and anxiety.

And now I’ll tell you that my latest episode started three weeks ago, and I’m still in it. I’m feeling a little better now, but throughout the entire day I had a very high level of anxiety. I exercise a lot, I run, but I feel completely shattered, and I honestly don’t know what to do. I don’t really know how to help myself.

So my question is: have any of you ever had this feeling with anxiety — I mean this kind of free-floating anxiety — where the neurosis, depression, and thoughts have completely consumed you to the point where you can no longer imagine what it would be like to come out the other side, so to speak, to get back to health and a normal life?

Because right now I feel as though those doors have completely closed for me, and that I’m condemned to simply exist like this for the rest of my life.

Hello folks!

I have a 19 yo son who recently got interested in playing the drums. He's on his gap year and managed to save some money that he now would like to spend on buying his first edrum kit. Funny enough, Ive got a buddy who told me last week he is selling his - medeli yodrum pro. His price is roughly around 50% of the original which makes it a tempting offer but I cant find any reviews of this particular Medeli kit so im not sure if it would make a good choice for the first edrum kit for my son.

I would appreciate your feedback, with particular focus on the following:

– Is Medeli Yodrum Pro a good kit for a beginner drummer?

– Is Medeli Yodrum Pro generally considered a good drum kit?

Thanks in advance for your help! Take care!
