How are you able to read more articles and sources?

I am currently working on my monograph, which requires me to write at least 300 pages by the end of my PhD.

However, I am really struggling with getting as many articles and sources as possible to read in one day, and write some paragraphs or take notes based on them. Even on my ideal day, I can only finish up to 3 articles or a book chapter, which is sometimes only enough for ONE SENTENCE. And since it is a monograph, I am expected to trace back almost every reference in the article, cite the original paper, and discuss the points in light of that new source. So, as you can imagine, my laptop is full of tabs that I open constantly from the citations given in just one article. At the end, it becomes a snowball effect.

So my questions are:

- How do you read fast without losing comprehension?

- What is a healthy amount to read and write a day?

- Are there tools that you can recommend for reading fast?

- Any other advice on the topic would be appreciated.

Gay dating in Tartu

It has been a couple of months since I moved to Tartu; however, I am struggling to find other gay people around. I go to some LGBT events like Vikerpidu, but it seems like no one is up and open for a conversation or a drink. And if you allow me to say, these environments seemed pretty exclusive and discriminatory in my opinion, unlike what I expected from gay community.

I tried Grindr (which was full of weirdos) and Tinder (which had very few matches and no conversations), but they were also out of use after a month.

I started to think that maybe it is because of my appearance, in a way that I am a bit short (175) and brunette with a hairy body (I am Italian).

What are the dynamics here? How do gay people meet in Tartu, or generally in Estonia?

Are books of Douglas Stuart good to read?

I have been struggling to find books with deeper perspectives and meaning lately. All the LGBT authors and books i have found in bookstores lately feels like a copy of what came before them, as well as most of them focusing on cliche stories of "from rivals, bullies or friends going to lovers".

I would like to read a book that explores in detail being an LGBT individual, the twists and turns, the inner storms, and also the peace that might come after it. Not just acceptance, but something deeper than that - solace.

[DISCUSSION] Kakegurui Season 3

We definitely need a season 3 for this anime. I've read the entire manga, and I was really surprised that they haven't produced a third season since the visuals in the manga are stunning.

I also wish they hadn't added extra episodes to each season. The second season, in particular, was a bit disappointing compared to the manga. However, the story gets so much better in the manga, which is why it really deserves a third season.

Carol and the end of the world

Am I the only one who is deeply annoyed by Carol?

I’m not sure if it’s intentional, but every time I hear her speak — or sometimes struggle to speak, resulting in a monotonous delivery — I feel on the verge of switching off the show. Don't get me wrong; I enjoy the plot, and I absolutely LOVE DONNA. However, I wish the creators had made Carol more engaging.

For example, in episode 5 (David), there was too much unnecessary repetition of names spoken in a dull, monotone voice, even after Carol had already mentioned them earlier in the episode. What do you think?
