Stuff you researched? Would you share your research?

I imagine that there are a few other people like me in this subreddit who research things and make spreadsheets of that info?

Have you researched something recently and would you be willing to share what you learned?

I am really curious to know if there is more info that could be shared that is just sitting in spreadsheets.

For example, I spent a lot of time lining up caregivers for my father. I've shared the info so much that I now have a Google Doc I share with others who ask.

Where a some places that people frequent regularaly that aren't bars?

This has come up on my social media a few times and the New York Times has had a few articles about the idea.

What Else Do We Lose When People Give Up Booze? Yes, there are many benefits of cutting back. But bars are closing. Jobs are going away. And a way of being together can feel harder to find.

There was also a mention of video stories being a place where clerks talked with renters about movies.

I don't want to go back to the days of sitting in smoky bars, but there has to be a way to have some community without sitting in a dark bar.

Where are some third places in Pittsburgh that have regulars that aren't bars?

Edit: I am looking for specific places, not ideas of types of places. For example, there is a group of guys who meet at the Shadyside Starbucks every morning at 8 am.

Flooding near Connellsville? Amtrak train can’t get to Pittsburgh.

I am on the Floridian from Washington DC to Pittsburgh. The train left DC about 2.5 hours late. Everything was going fine but just after Connellsville, we stopped and the reversed to Connellsville.

Amtrak is saying there is flooding or a mudslide on the tracks.

Has this happened to anyone before? Any idea how long it might be to get to Pittsburgh?

Should I just try to find someone to pick me up in Connellsville? (If only I had my bike with me!)

Where to find Snyders Of Berlin chips for a funeral

Hello r/pittsburgh - I need your help. I’ve loved helping people find things on Reddit and I’m hoping you can all help me.

My father loved - LOVED - loved Snyders of Berlin potato chips.

We would like to have little bags of these chips for the funeral.

I can’t find them online anywhere. One person is selling them on eBay from Arizona that feels suspect.

Does anyone know where I could buy 150 little bags of chips?
