Best course of action for this leak?
This leak in the basement foundation wall happened yesterday during a heavy rainfall. I know that the rain gutter just outside where this is heavily overflows as there isn't proper drainage. I have since also cleaned the gutter to help and plan on installing a downspout.
The other issue is that some animal dug a hole, and i'm assuming that rainwater accumulated in the hole, which went down to the foundation and caused this. I have filled the hole that they dug and plan on putting something above to help the water go away from the house as well.
Since this is pretty bad, though, what is the best course of action, a friend who is a contractor suggested I dig down and repair it myself but it's also in a tight spot as my Air Conditioner is right in front of here.
