How many polo shirts can a pet rabbit eat before it becomes a problem?

My girlfriend has a pet rabbit and he spends most of his time in my office. A while ago I left a polo shirt on the floor in there and kinda forgot about it, and by the time I noticed it the bunny had clearly been playing with it and chewing on it. I can’t say for sure if he’s eating the pieces he rips off the shirt, but I’m not finding little pieces of shirt material anywhere, so I assume he is. I don’t want to take it from him because from what I can tell it might be his favorite toy, but I don’t imagine he can eat an unlimited amount of shirt without consequences.
