Durham Green Retrofit Loans - you couldn’t design something more backwards if you tried

So I just learned how the Durham Greener Homes loan program works, and honestly, you couldn’t design something more backwards if you tried. If you put down less than 20% on your home, you’re automatically disqualified because you have default insurance (CMHC/Sagen/Guaranty)

The people who already had the money are the ones who need subsidized financing the most? It’s wild. The homeowners who actually struggle with drafty houses, foggy windows, old furnaces and real‑world affordability? Completely shut out.

If Durham Region’s goal was to design a program that misses the entire point, mission accomplished.

WS Visa OTP prompt but transaction still goes through?

Hey guys, quick question about the WS Visa card

Has anyone noticed that when you make an online purchase, it sometimes triggers an OTP verification pop‑up — but if you just close the prompt, the transaction still goes through anyway?

It’s happened to me multiple times now. I just close the OTP window and the charge still processes.

Is this some kind of glitch with 3‑D Secure, or is WS letting the transaction go through without the OTP? Curious if anyone else has seen this?
