Feeling like I really like this type of work.

Always looking for feedback. Was in rough shape, sanded it down from 80 to 180. Took the majority apart, but some screws were already set with varnish. Couldn’t get them out and don’t want to damage the wood. Any tips to get existing top coat or varnish out of screw heads?

Single pass of stain, then double coat of top coat. Does conditioner or pre strain stuff really work and make the stain take more?

Me again, looking for honest advice

Refinished this door for someone today. Definitely underbid the job as I didn’t realize just how many squares and how long they’d take. But the client was more than happy with the final result. I’m going to go back and do a top clear coat on it tomorrow once it’s fully dried.

Please let me know how I can do better, easier, or anything else. Thanks!

Curious on filler or extending down the sideburn area to fill the area.

I am itching to get some new, and curious if anyone could see any designs or something that would extend down in front of my ear to keep the same vibe. Any thoughts?
