I've seen a few older posts about this, but I know modding games can change quickly.

I recently switched to Bazzite from Windoes 11, I am very happy I did, but I do miss modding games.

I have tried to get Vortex Mod Manager to work, using both Heroic and Steam. After that I tried using Steam to use LaLa launcher, wanting to at least have a trainer if not mods, I previously used Wand (WeMod). But no luck with either.

I'm here to ask the best way to mod games? Some games I want to mod below for reference.

I'm looking into getting Star Wars Interworlds for my game. But I'm curious about a few things, wasn't able to find the information online so asking people who have played the X4 and possibly SWI.

Is it possible for a custom start with a flag ship and stuff already there?

Do I have to grind a lot before I get to the cool stuff in the mod?

Are there actual Star Wars planets or no?

Where can I start in SWI?
