salon or diy?

Helloo I'm planning to color my hair for the first time but I'm debating whether I should go to a salon or diy it instead. Though I'm a little hesitant because I want pink peekaboo hair and it requires bleach. People said pink fades fast so idk if going to a salon is worth it. Tyia
