Meeting new friends

Hi everyone 👋 Im 30F live in West london, single and my pool of friends around seems to have totally shrunk!

I enjoy travelling, long walks, thrifting, reading, watching movies & trash TV occasionally, karaoke, a good pub, and trying to get a bit more active! I love anime, manga, kdramas also love history, art, seeing a lovely exhibition. Love trying new experiences, going to comedy gigs, seeing plays or musicals, pottery classes and want to get better at sewing/embroidery or being able to make my own clothes. I'd love to meet new friends who share some of the same interests. I'm easy going and love a good laugh, but really value a friendship where you can share personal things with someone and have a deep connection.

If any of that is of any interest to anyone please feel free to PM me! I'd love to make some new friends 😊

Living at home with parents, brother and SIL, how to deal with this situation?

Hi, I need some advice please

30F unmarried I work full time (busy job) contribute to cooking, laundry and cleaning. I take care of myself and help out around the house.

Both of my parents in their 60s are unwell but doing a lot. My mum works part time, does a lot of housework and we have a cleaner who comes once a week.

My dad is off sick from work at the moment but takes care of the garden, any repairs and that kind of work around the house.

My brother doesn't really interact with anyone of us and stays in his room most of the time, and certainly does nothing around the house. SIL stays in the room separate most of the times with brother but she helps with cooking - mostly will be cooking for the 2 of them - and cleaning at times, she is very organised but has a habit of criticising everyone.

Her and my brother argue almost every day as well. She doesn't seem to get on with my mum and picks on her a lot. My mum really doesn't ask her to do anything, in fact mum is always chasing behind her asking can I help you with anything (she won't do that for me!)

She and brother have a horrible habit of arguing at night time as well - trying to sleep but even at 11pm they are arguing! She is very loud and my brother is totally useless, he really dislikes my parents but I dont understand why he's still sponging off them at home.

Mum told me she has been asking her why I dont do more around the house. I think SIL needs to focus on herself and her husband

She's pregnant as well and I dont really know what's going to happen after she gives birth

Im not sure how I am supposed to be dealing with both of them, my brother doesn't speak to any of us and my SIL is really controlling and overbearing at times. Looking for an outsiders perspective on the situation and how to improve things

Edit: thanks for advice so far but not looking to move away yet as my parents are really unwell - the suggestion they can go between places isn't going to work. More so looking for advice from people who have been in this situation
