yesterday i ended up getting fired! yay! they considered it “harassment & discrimination” for a photo of a penis made out of caramel drizzle. anyway i’m kind of glad because i wanted to leave anyway.

i’ve always cut my own hair. never went to school for it & always use whatever scissors i can find. yesterday my boyf asked if i can cut his hair! i think it turned out pretty great! i should’ve touched up the front a little more (didn’t get any pictures) but i’m super proud of the layering in the back! edit- he used to have pretty long hair. down a little past his shoulders!
I’m looking for new jobs and wanting to leave soon. my only issue is i have 70+ hours of sick time i don’t want to be thrown away. what would be the best way to use as much as i can without calling off of work?
i’ve been with the company for about 2 years and never called off, hence why i have so much
gonna try and keep this short (no pun intended)- i told my new SM id be interested in becoming an SSV. she is new to our store, like probably week 3 now, and she says that there are already two other baristas interviewing to become a SSV and she doesn’t chose who gets promoted, and that it’s harder now with 2 other SSVs coming back from LOA’s.. she also said that “we will work on making me the best barista so that when the time comes, i have a chance” …..lol wut…..
i am one of 2 trainers at my store, and have been with starbucks for almost 2 years and have complete open availability- except for wednesdays and have not called out ONCE in my entire time working here. my old SM wanted me to become a SSV, and was going to talk to our DM about; long story short they both ended up leaving & i don’t think it was ever mentioned.
i don’t know if it’s just me, but i think it’s so strange she wouldn’t let me interview for it…. i dont know what to do.
EDIT- i don’t necessarily care too much about whether or not i get/got the position, but part of this feels so backhanded in a way. and again, it’s weird that she didn’t offer me to interview…
