Umrah Visa from Pakistan using VFS global.

Salam Alaikum Everyone,

We (family) want to apply for Umrah visa and are thinking of doing it via tasheer (vfs global) in Lahore. The thing is i can't seem to find any requirements for umra visa on tasheer.

Secondly, my wife and child have foreign passports and we can't apply as a family. I have to apply in separate application as individual and them as a group. Because there is no option to select a country once you start filling the application form on tasheer. I'm worried about this situation.

Thirdly, we are planning to perform Umrah on the way to the final country. Hence, i don't want to take the full package by the agents.

Since it usually includes a return ticket. We won't be returning but going to another country from there. Which would be easier to get, a transit visa via airline or umra visa by tasheer. And do agents provide Umrah visa only or package without return ticket.?

Lastly, i have been researching the absolute best plan for Umrah. I recently learned from this sub that instead of going to Jeddah. Going directly to medina is a better choice. I am looking to learn more tips and help to make our Umrah and overall Saudi experience more comfortable, memorable and enjoyable. I already researched the metro, customs, nusuk and weather. I want.to go well prepared and don't want to miss anything. This is probably the least touristy season in Saudi but very hot. What would be better time for Umrah in coming months.?

Thank you for reading. I know i asked multiple questions but i think this is the best sub to clear confusions and get true information.

My companion of 23 years. Alive again.

My mamu gifted me this when i was a very small kid. I remember sleeping with this watch on my wrist and sometimes under my pillow. I considered it my best friend. Used to wear it to school. My classmates were super impressed. This was one of the dearest things to me. It came originally with a plastic/rubber strap which broke after few years, since then i stopped wearing it and lost the watch completely after 5-6 years of receiving it. Never to be found again.

Life moved on but occasionally, i remembered and missed it.

The quality on this watch was great back then, heavy, built-in compass, tactile unidirectional bezel with satisfying clicks and good quality metal with a unique color which used to turn darker day by day, unless i clean it. There were many things unique about this. I loved every single thing about it.

About 5 years ago (after decades) when renovating and deep cleaning, We found it in the closet of grandma. Someone put it there and forgot. The battery leaked and it was not working. However, Dial, Hands, Compass and Bezel is working exactly as i remembered. Which is surprising. Even Lume on all three hands still shines.

Being a watch enthusiast and collector now, how could i not restore it. Which i did with the help on my mamu. It's on my wrist working flawlessly again. We had to replace the moment all together. Mamu explained further about this watch. Which was fascinating to listen to. This may have been produced in the late 90's and i got it in 2002-2003. It was copper made with a swiss quartz moment inside. This explains the patina.

Now the Crown is aftermarket (he handed over the original crown and said it can be fitted but he didn't have the tool for now) I'm planning to put that back and fix the compass mirror alignment as well in future.

Right now he used 22mm strap but I'm planning to use 21mm (originally). Let me know which color and what kind of strap will look good on this.

This may be one of the most important watches in my collection and closest to my heart. Every scratch, every dent, every faded color spot on this watch is a moment of my childhood.

I hope you enjoyed looking at my watch and reading my post.

I am overseas Pakistani who came back and went there after years. I was very excited, I once saw a YouTube video showing how food streets have improved a lot (while abroad). To my disappointment, when i went there, i saw the same damaged roads, unhygienic looking food, and sewerage water coming out. I decided to go elsewhere (shahi-muhallah) for food. Am i missing something or the food street has not improved at all.?

On a positive note and surprisingly, the new Anarkali felt nostalgic and hits in a different way. Shopkeepers were respectful, friendly and prices felt they were basically the same when i left. It felt like time has stopped. I smiled looking at the building of the MCB Anarkali branch. Seeing it felt like I was entered in 1970s. It felt different but in a good way.!

And can we talk about how good the Metro Station of Anarkali looks.? They have a nice place to sit right across the road. My son enjoyed it a lot.

I want to emphasize, while in Lahore i was not thinking the same way but once spending a few years abroad, you realize how beautiful our heritage and how valuable our culture is. During the last tour, I was thinking more like an outsider or foreigner and subconsciously i was feeling what foreigners may feel visiting Lahore. It is a beautiful city.
