How to fight $1000 ticket for running Airbnb out of a basement.

Back in March I recived a $1000 fine for running Airbnb in my basement because the basement is considered a second dwelling and not my primary residence.

However, there are a few things.

issue #1: When the by-law officer entered my home, he asked a family member (because I was not present), “Do you live in the basement?”

my family member stated “No we just live upstairs”

Issue #2: By-law officer stated that he saw no personal belongings downstairs in the basement, therefore it is not a primary dwelling

Defence: We had a fire inspector visit us and they stated that our basement cannot be legally registered as it does not pass the requirements for a second dwelling. So how can our basement be considered a second dwelling when a member of the same city said this cannot be 2 seperate dwellings. We Don’t have any cooking equipment, nor the required entrance for it to be passable for a second dwelling.

Defence #2: We use the basement regularly and the Reason the bylaw officer did not find any personal belongings during his visit was because We had a guest booked shortly after that and wanted to clean it up for the guests.

Defence #3: renting part of your principal residence is exactly what the by-law permits. “Lives upstairs, rents the basement” is renting part of your own home, not proof of a separate unit.

How can i strengthen my case. I appealed it once and lost it due to insufficient evidence.

any and all help will be greatly appreciated

Help with Stripe transaction laundering on my platform

I have an online business management platform on which you can manage staff, customers, and transactions.

You can use my platform to charge your customers for services via Stripe. (For instance if you have client whom you charge $100, you can connect your stripe account to my platform and charge them $100 via stripe, and money goes directly to your bank account.)

Issue is I just realized that a lot of(if not all) of my transactions are most likely fraudulent, most likely using stolen credit cards. They use American credit cards, and I dont know what to do.

I stopped the transactions, and I tried to refund the cards, but now I am -$2000 on my account.

What do I do? How can I prevent fraudulent transactions? For shopify I know if theres a chargeback, shopify directly charges the seller. But Stripe, said because it is my platform, I will be responsible for the chargeback.

What is possible for an average athlete?

My best 10m fly is 1.07 and my best 40yard is about 4.97. I play soccer and I am curious how fast is possible for an average athlete.

i play soccer so, so if I’m able to hit a 1.00 10m fly that would make me one of the fastest players on the field, but how achievable is that?

I had been sprinting regularly for about a year then tore my acl and have been doing it again for about 8 months. I managed to drop my time from 1.12 to 1.07, and I am 24, so puberty boost isn’t going to be kicking in anytime soon.

I just want to know what’s like the best an average athlete can get to
