POTS, ambient heat, menstruating, and having exerted a little before getting sodium is such a bad combo I'm basically in presyncope the whole time I'm standing. Recovery strategies to get back on track?
It's like 87 degrees Fahrenheit (31C), and last night it only got down to 77F (about 25.5C). Even with our AC going the whole time, it's just not keeping up. Add in ye olde period, and having taken a shower and done dishes (a mistake for sure), and I'm having presyncope and lowkey partial vision loss pretty much the whole time I'm standing since then.
I've been on top of hydration and electrolytes the past few days, I just hadn't gotten them in me before I started doing stuff today.
Lesson learned.
I'm thinking of doing a bowl of ramen for quick emergency sodium while I sit right in front of the AC. What do y'all do in this kind of situation?
