So for context: I'm already a student in Germany. I'm doing my master's in a relatively small city. There's not much going on in my department. Rarely does a position for Studentische Hilfskraft ever come out, especially in my department (Economics).

I was thinking about sending emails to professors in my university or universities in neighbouring cities. But I just wanted to ask if that has been helpful to anybody in the past, especially considering the fact that professors are already pretty busy and I want to be mindful not to waste their time.

Hi everyone! I'm a student, doing my masters in Economics in the middle of nowhere in Germany. That makes it extremely hard to come across jobs related to research.

I'm in Berlin for 3 months doing a research internship over the summer, but this is not a very feasible option for me because I'm missing out on my classes back at University (we don't really have a fixed summer break like in the US). I know only a few institutes that sometimes have remote positions and those are rare.

I was wondering if there's a website where I could keep up with remote Research Assistant roles that are targeted towards students around the world. Thank you.

Sorry for the post in English but I just picked up and Überraschungstüte today at a Greek Deli in Berlin. And before I even walked up to the counter, the guy pulled the Tüte Out. I just awkwardly laughed and said that I'm here from TGTG and he said something along the lines of "looks exactly like that".
