trying to make friends, any advice?

Im about to go to uni, I have a few close friends but I just now realized that I will no longer be around them like I have been. Im an introvert, someone who waits for an extrovert to come up and start a conversation. I dont really know what im going to do, going somewhere completely different where I really dont know anyone. I do want to make friends, I really do, it just feels so hard almost impossible at times. I would really appreciate any advice.

Planning to put in two weeks right before Odyssey comes out

Im planning to put my two weeks in on July 1st. I have been working at the theater for about 2 years now. Looking at the fact that Odyseey and Spiderman are coming out soon, Im wanting to put in my two weeks because im planning to go to university and want to have some free time with my family and friends.

((Real quick before the slight frustrations I have!! I am so greatful that I was able to have a job and be able to met people who are super funny and know how to joke around about even the most annoying stuff. I would honestly recommend a job like this to anyone as their first job, you learn great things and skills. Im truly so thankful for everything!! I really am not trying to make these seem like some awful thing!! :D))

Im also kind of frustrated and wanting to put in my two weeks because I know that since they just announced it as a blackout weekend (meaning you can't callout without it being a DW (disciplinary warning) or request time off) for those showings that even less people are actually going to show up for work. I also just feel like alot of the management dosent really help us out or make the job easier. It also frustrating because I try to be someone who never calls out unless its absolutely needed, im never late to a shift im always there 15 minutes early, im always willing to help train people, im always helping out in other areas when people call in especially the runner area, and i overall try to do the best work i can at any station.

Ive had alot of fun working there and have made alot of great memories, plus met some really funny people. Plus ive also been able to do alot of things because of this job that I otherwise wouldn't have been able to.

Hopefully they are able to hire more people before these movies come out because ive heard that a lot of other people are also planning to put in their two weeks before Odyssey or Spiderman comes out.

Good luck!

Orientation is rough, any advice?

Please tell me I am not the only one who has just had a pretty rough orientation experience. It feels like the whole time we are being walked around like summer camp kids instead of adults coming into college just trying to learn the campus. School hasn't even started and from the way the people here have made the school sound im already starting to not look forward to the school year after being so excited. All of this has just made it seem like the main thing to look forward to is graduation. I haven't felt like I do fit in anywhere as much as I do right now.

Any advice on how to look forward to the school year or maybe improve the view on the school? Im just hoping that maybe things are better during the school year or its not as bad as some people are making it seem.

Orientation advice?

I have my orientation on the 23rd-24th and am just wanting to hear some advice about what to expect. It just seems like alot that needs to be done in two days and im worried I don't have everything together that it says to bring with you. Plus im kind of a social anxious person but im really trying to get better at it and hopefully make some friends at university.

Any advice on what to expect, bring with, be ready for? Im just trying to be as prepared as I can. Thanks 🖤🤗

Do yall think He-Man is going to be a big hit for this summer?

I personally didnt think He-Man was going to do much for bringing in a crowd but today we have just about sold out all its show times for today to the point we there is a waiting line to get tickets. Im just shocked that its performing this well so far after hearing so many guest say the trailer looked bad. What do yall think about it? Is it going to be the main movie of June or will Super Girl out do it when it comes out later in June? Id love to hear what people are thinking about this month's releases.

How are yall feeling about this summer?

I know there are alot of new releases coming how this summer but what do yall think will be the worst one? Its been pretty consistent for me at least, not super busy but not empty either, just a steady stream of people coming in. Ive honestly heard more people talking about Toy Story 5, Super Girl, and Spiderman then anything else thats supposed to come out this summer. Then again with Spiderman coming out around the end of July/start of August it may not be as busy because people will be getting back into work/school. What do yall think?
