Why can't district attorneys tell witnesses where the defendant will sit? (Is this even real?)

Hello! This might seem like an odd question, but I was watching a show recently where the district attorney took a witness into the courtroom so that she could feel more comfortable during the trial. The witness asked where the defendant would be sitting and the DA said she wasn't allowed to tell her that, which isn't something I've heard before. I tried looking this up on my own and couldn't find anything that actually addressed my question. I'm just wondering why they wouldn't be able to disclose that information. The show takes place in the late 90s and early 2000s if that adds anything.

Thank you so much for taking the time to answer my silly question!

EMGs & bandages

Hello!

For those of you who have also had EMGs, did your doctors provide bandages afterwards? I had a substantial amount of bleeding at each site (enough to stain my socks) and when I asked for a bandage I was told they don't keep any in the office.

I'm looking to file a complain against this doctor for a number of reasons (including that he would not remove the very painful needles, despite having the information he needed, until this random girl he brought in who was not wearing any medical gear told him the name of the muscle in French???) and this felt very off to me. I don't know anyone else who has had an EMG, so I suppose this could be normal procedure. If not, it's being added to the list.

Thank you so much!

Hi! I could really use some advice. I have a skin infection on my face and a few spots on my torso that has primarily been spread through skin-picking, so I've had to quit cold turkey. It's been five days, and I doubt I have even gone a full day without picking since I was in kindergarten (about 20 years ago).

My problem is as bad as it because it operates the same way my addiction issues do. I just got back into recovery after a bad relapse, and the lack of cheap dopamine made my dermatillomania way worse. Without skin-picking, I am struggling way more with sobriety, and I also have absolutely no motivation. My mental health is already a disaster right now. I cannot function like this.

I know all the standard advice about how to rebuild your reward system and none of it works for me because there is no reward system to rebuild. I just never had those functioning pathways. I'm not asking anyone to help me fix that (though I would certainly take advice) but does anyone have any tips or tricks or tales or anything related to getting through this?

Thank you so much & I hope you're all having good days!
