I have a Siemens Somatom Emotion scanner and want to use it to not just scan patients but also technical stuff. Unfortunately, the reconstruction algorithms cannot deal with the high contrast data. Is there a way to read the raw data and do the reconstruction myself? I can cover the reconstruction part skill wise, but I don't know how the data is encoded...
I have a really strange case: I got stranded in the middle of the river on my RX DI after the starter failed after capsizing. I tried knocking it, nothing. Back at home I measured the continuity between the red post and the case: infinite resistance - no wonder it didn't work.
So I bought a new starter, and tried to take the old one out. That required a plastic mallet and I had to pound it out. Replaced starter, ski works again.
Now I want to rebuild the original starter but it works again! It turns after being connected to a battery and I took it apart and can't find any problem. The brass bar that connects the two positive brushes is still in one piece, everything else is fine. How can this be?
Tldr; starter in 951 engine showed no contact between terminals, after extensive pounding with a hammer it works again and internals show no signs of failure.
