I’m rated 100% and my son is eligible for chapter 35 benefits. He turns 18 in July and will be going to a university full time in the fall. We plan on using his education benefits.

I understand I can’t double dip and receive dependent pay while he’s collecting chapter 35 benefits.

My question is will I receive the dependent pay for July and August since he doesn’t start school til September? I know I have to send the VA proof he’ll be a full time student for the dependent pay, just trying to find out the steps to take and how this all works.
