how to get reed closer to mouthpiece?
hi yes i’m dumb and only play soprano so i have no idea what im doing. i can only get open G to C out and everything else sounds like im pressing the register key. 😭 it’s a new reed and recently repaired bass.

For an audition piece I have to play the chromatic scale at qn=120 in 32nd notes. For some reason, I am unable to play it 😭 I keep blanking and I always mess up at the same spot. Is there any way I can fix this fast? I’ve tried focusing harder but I always end up messing it up 😭. I’ve really only gotten it a few times, and it’s been when I haven’t looked at the piece for a while.
Also, any recommendations for materials like grapeseed oil or a good reed case is greatly appreciated!
No, I did not save locally. I have maybe 200mb free on my computer right now so I assumed that would be stupid to do (lol). I can't find it anywhere in my files. I'm just assuming after saving three times and getting a popup saying my score "couldn't be published," that there was an error somewhere. I closed my tab thinking "oh I saved it so the error will fix itself once i reopen it" haha, no, it is gone permanently.
Jokes on me for thinking "I can't wait to finally be done with this so I can go to bed and use it to help me practice later!"
I changed my major. I went from music to music ed, and now I’m extremely behind. Before I switched, I was only required to not fail any classes, so I passed with Ds in many classes my freshman year. Now I have to retake those beginning-level courses plus their more advanced ones that I failed. I’m pretty much starting over my 3rd year of college. I feel so humiliated that I’ll be so much older than the incoming freshmen in these classes. To make it worse, all of the classes I have to retake are with teachers that taught the upper-level courses that I failed.
I’m scared I’ll be behind forever due to how slow I learn. It takes me so much longer than everyone else just to understand and memorize things. Music is such a fast-paced major at my college, and everyone was so far ahead of me ever since I started.
