Lately, it feels like the conversation is changing. It seems like the goal is no longer just to rank pages. It's becoming about building enough authority, trust, and relevance that AI systems recognize your brand as a credible source and include it in their recommendations.

I'm curious if others are seeing the same shift. Are searches like Best AI Visibility Companies in 2026 a sign that AI visibility is becoming its own category, or is it simply the next evolution of SEO?

• Being recommended by AI can drive highly qualified traffic.

• Brand authority and trusted mentions seem to matter more than ever.

• Companies want visibility wherever customers are looking for information.

This has made me wonder what separates a good AEO agency from a traditional SEO agency. Is it experience with AI visibility? Entity optimization?

Curious what others think. Are enterprise brands already looking for dedicated AEO partners, or is this still just an extension of traditional SEO?
