Hi I had ssnhl in my left ear 22 weeks ago, I have been feeling I get better periods some days , don’t get me wrong, I always have symptoms but sometimes my tinnitus is not as reactive for a little while and then I get maby moments when I have nearly complete silence for a while.
But then comes a day like today that I have been so symptomatic and my tinnitus and reactiveness is bad.
Does it this condition heal like this? Is it like a roller coaster? I have been optimistic last days but now I feel like I’m never getting better. 🥵

so I had ssnhl on my left ear 17 weeks ago and I honestly can say it’s been hell , what bothers me most is reactive tinnitus that makes every sound have a “hisss” afterwards. I still have a baseline tinnitus too.

I’m in so desperate need of reassurance that this will get better and I know I have written before but who cares, maby new people that have had RT can see this.
And now I also have this wind sound/feeling that feels like my eardrum is fluttering in the wind and vibration too, and fullness and pressure
.
I went to the ENT 2 days ago and had an audiogram and the hearing was average 60 db now and it was average 70 two months ago,
I don’t know it that counts but the worst thing is that on my bad ear I had no word regonition and just heard a robot voice say something that didn’t sound like words.

The ENT said that this can maby improve with time but as it is now I can’t use ordinary hearing aids and that brakes my herart because I feel people don’t like the cros type that much.

Have anyone that has had ssnhl had electric sound in the effected ear when you run your hand over the ear or when you lay on the pillow? As it’s induced by the touch? Or am I the only one?

I had ssnhl in one ear 14 weeks ago and my symptoms are a never ending story Last days I have been having this pressure in the ear and I can HEAR the pressure inside the ear and this weird vibrating feeling , like my eardrum is vibrating and something is pulling it inside?? Have you exspirienced this?
I think ghat must be that you can develop other conditions from ssnhl.

Hi I have one question, I lost a lot of the hearing on my left year 14 weeks ago, I have been struggling a lot with reactive tinnitus an sound sensitivity (don’t know the word) and my ear is still way to fragile to put hearing aids in just yet.

So I ask, has anyone here had ssnhl with reactive tinnitus and was able to get hearing aids at some point? I have been told the reactive part will settle down but I’m very hopeless at the moment.

Those of you who have had ssnhl (had it 11 weeks ago) and had reactive tinnitus and sound sensitivity (I don’t know the word) how long did it last for you?

I really am getting so depressed and hopeless about this situaation, how can one live like this?

I really can’t be around people or do anything really because Ofcorse everything has sound! This has isolated me in a big way. And yes I wear loop all the time but I’m so tired of it 🥴

I can’t handle the negativity now (like people on Reddit that say they don’t get better and have been like this for years)😰

I lost hearing on my left ear 6 weeks a and this is the hardest thing I’ve ever been through!

I think this can’t be normal, I have so much reacting tinnitus that I can’t do anything, not even talk to people and not even watch tv most of the time, my ear is just going crazy, I’m having this pressure/fullness feeling every day and the list goes on.

Is losing hearing really this hard? Please can anybody give me some stories , how it was for you?

Hey everybody, I have been nearly deaf on my left ear for 21 days now, did the oral steroids and one steroid shot to the ear and no progress.

I’m so sad and frustrated and all I’m looking for is some support… I have been having a lot of reactive tinnitus that’s really hard to deal with because every sound makes it worse and I really think that one is the hardest.

I also get the ear fullness really bad and pressure around the ear and I feel like my ear and everything around it is numb. So what I’m trying to say, will this get any easier and will the reactive tinnitus calm down?
I have a 6 year old that has been staying with his father alot of the time since this happened and I just thinking how I will have a good like taking care of him like this😢
