Melbourne Imax has digital and 70MM projections, why don't we have it ?
This question might feel dumb to a lot of people but it's a genuine query, Melbourne IMAX is the largest 70MM IMAX in the world presently and they installed a digital projection system and it has IMAX 70mm projection for films like the Odyssey. India was home to one of the largest IMAXs in the world, why couldn't we preserve it like they did ? Play movies in 1.43 ratio when they were released in 70mm IMAX and playn in 1.90 for normal movies in digital. Is it that hard to maintain it, I saw a post about Wadala IMAX projector sitting in a room, collecting dust. Why can't they put it to use ? I'm sure a population of 1 and half a billion has enough people to pay good money for a good experience. We saw people pay 3K for a ticket in Liemax. How does this work ? Enlighten me on this.
