during my shs days, i just found out the interest i had for the study of human behavior which lead me to deciding na i would want to study bs psychology, especially in ust (my dream university ever since)

kaso i’m a bit torn about it since idk what to do with a psychology degree since hindi ako sure if i have the interest and financial stability to pursue med-school after this. basta all i know is gusto ko siyang aralin. but in terms of career wise, i’m not sure kung anong trabaho ang gusto kong gawin.

parents are also not aligned na kunin ko ang psych dahil hindi raw siya practical tapos hindi ko pa alam anong kukunin kong trabaho. but all i know is i really want to study it.

worth it ba ang bs psychology sa ust? masasayang lang ba ang pera at panahon? how can i defend this to my parents?

as someone na sobrang lost at life at hanggang ngayon ay still torn between what course to choose kahit mag cocollege na. is it better to choose passion o practicality?

recently just opened up to my parents about my desired program na gusto kong kunin kaso parang based sa reaction nila hindi sila masyadong suportado sa gusto ko, since hindi siya gaano ka practical and mababa lang din ang sweldo dito. so kinoconsider ko nalang talaga na sa tech side na ako pumunta pero natatakot talaga kasi ako na ma burn out tapos hindi ko pa mahanap ‘yung desire to continue kasi hindi ko naman gusto yung ginagawa ko. ayaw ko naman umabot sa point na kailangan ko pa mag shift

what should i do, should i risk the passion or does it get better along the way sa practicality?
