What happened to the government assets that the US seized during the 2003 Iraq invasion?

This article from the time mentions how the US was in the process of selling off Iraqi government assets taken during the war to american companies. What happened to them in the end?

Lawrence of Arabia <Susan Herbert>

Love Susan Herbert's cats. I came across this cute drawing a few weeks ago after I recieved a shemagh (also called kuffiyeh, ghutra, or suluk depending on where you are) as a gift while on a journey in the desert, the red and white checkard kind. I thought it looked and felt very neat, even with all the associations and stereotypical imagery it might conjure. That trip was one of the few times I wore traditional clothing from my country, and I had the idea to look for anthro art featuring the shemagh and traditional arab clothing in general (not just the robes the saudis wear!), considering how different it would be from the mostly modern clothing you see anthros in (not to say historical clothing is absent, those are my favorite when I do run into them). What I found was initially disappointingly little. Mostly just art of foreign soldiers wearing a shemagh while destroying the place the dress came from. Of the art I did find this fits this sub the best I think. The sub's theme still feels rather nebulous to me, but Susan Herbert's Whimsical art definitely fits I think (along with anything with a gun apparently). Ironic that the search for art featuring a cultural dress should yield a caricature of a caricature of that culture, though Susan is welcome to caricaturise us if we get to be cute cats and not shooting targets in a video game.

Am I building sorcerer wrong or is it supposed to be this hard.

I played a knight in ds1. Found a halberd and Elite knight armor and stuck with them till the end.

Now I felt like trying a sorcerer. It's rough. It's been rough but now I feel like I've got to be doing something wrong. I'm at iron keep and I'm still wearing the same armor I started in and using the same catalyst I started with (catalyst is +5). I'm using the fire longsword (+3) as a sidearm. I've explored everywhere else I can go except the gutter and met every NPC on the way. The shaded wood has a misty area with ghosts blocking the way. Looked around online and people are saying to get the sunset staff and I found the guy who gives it but he won't talk to me and I'm assuming It's cause my faith is very low.

My level is 71 and my stats are VGR 8, END 8, VIT 9, ATT 30, STR 12, DEX 15, ADP 10, INT 27, FTH 5.

The knights are kicking my ass. The two invaders before the door kicked my ass for 4 hours and I could barely make a dent in them before I cheesed them with a shield into the fire. I die in two hits, my stamina is always one hit short of killing the guy I'm fighting if I use the sword, and my spells feel slow against the knights (even with the speed casting ring) since they can accelerate and decelerate apparently. Fighting them feels like alot of luck with if they'll randomly become faster as I roll away from them or while I'm attacking. They also staggered inconsistently before I got the stone ring (sometimes two spells would stagger them, sometimes not). As it is I don't see myself beating the smelter demon like this (or continuing much further while feeling this gimped). I've lost so many souls in this god forsaken keep because they keep shanking me before i can get my bloodstain back.

Please, how do I magic man my way through Drangleic?

Edit: That's alot more comment than I was expecting. I've read all of them. Thank you everyone. I'll start sorcing properly.
