Feeling like a “minority in a minority”

I’m a mizhrahi jew in a country where there aren’t many jews, and whenever I meet one they’re ashkenazi. I feel kinda lonely because I probably never will meet anyone like me in real life, especially in my university. To add more im a lesbian and i’ve never meet any LGBTQ jew in person.. I wish i could be in a place with more people like me.
Since im not religiously jewish, everything is more on the cultural and ethnic side, but id love to hear some responses to my lonely gay mizahri story lol

I’m a Mizrahi Jew and I have started questioning my identity, help me

Hello everyone, I’m a Mizrahi Jew (ethically and culturally, not religious) from a country where there aren’t many jews and most people don’t know much about being Jewish. And, being not ashkenazi I feel like I’m a minority in a minority because we don’t even have data for Jewish “groups” outside the European ones.

Now, my question is: my dad is an israeli-Jordanian jew and my mom is fully Brazilian. He isn’t Jewish by religion nor is anyone in my family, they follow a religion that is from my country, and I am an atheist. So, by religious means I am not Jewish, right? Since my mom isn’t Jewish. I don’t know how to identify anymore, idk if I count as mizhari because I’m not first generation or born in the Middle East, but my whole family from dads side is.

I feel lost and weird, I do speak Hebrew and I speak it with my dad at home like half of the time but I feel bad for not knowing Arabic when my (deceased) grandparents were Jordanian, I feel disconnected with who I should be as a Jew.

Also, just want to say that I’m proud of being Jewish and half middle eastern at those difficult times for us and want to send hugs to all Jewish people here! Thank you ✡️
