Favorite long lost child out for REVENGE storyline?

Natalie (OLTL)
Eva (BTG)
Kendall (AMC)
Carly (GH)
Jonathan (GL)

I’m sure I’m missing some. Natalie from OLTL is my personal favorite, perhaps because it’s the only one I got to watch from the beginning, but man did I love her. She was angry but mostly broken after being raised by an alcoholic who barely took care of her. Knowing that your mom was wealthy and kind and raised another girl as you would break anyone. No excuse but an explanation.

Shout out to Jonathan for seemingly being one of the few male examples of this trope.

Reviews on first tasks

Finally accepted on a project 9 months after applying. Started yesterday and worked on 4 tasks so far, I’ve received feedback on all 4 that I didn’t quite adhere to the instructions as well as I could have. Which is fine, I’m learning and happy to improve, my question is: how common is this? How much time do they typically give for you to get the hang of things? I’d really like to update these tasks and have it go smoothly.

Favorite Matriarch type: Sweet as pie but takes no gruff or Tough as nails, will kill you if you cross her family?

Sure Mother’s Day has passed but if you love your mom EVERYDAY is Mother’s Day! Thought it would be nice to praise the women that ground the crazy shows we watch lol

We have here:
Alice Horton (DOOL)
Ruth Martin (AMC)
Lila Quartermaine (GH)
Liz Foster and Katherine Chancellor (Y&R)
Phoebe Wellington (AMC)
Ida Hobson (AW)
Nancy Hughes (ATWT)
Bert Bauer (GL)
Stephanie Forrester (B&B)
Tracy Quartermaine (GH)

These are just a handful of the lovely ladies that helped shaped the American soap opera. Who’s your fave?

Characters with the darkest exits?

These are the two that first spring to mind for me.

Trevor Dillon (AMC)
The Dillons left Pine Valley after Janet murdered an ex-inmate of hers, for which Trevor tried to take the rap, who was threatening her family. Years later their daughter, Amanda, returned to town followed shortly by Janet where we found out that Janet had stop taking her antipsychotic medication and murdered Trevor. She disposed of his body by stuffing it into an icebox stuffed.

Frankie Frame (AW)
Frankie was strangled to death by a serial killer while begging for her life, exclaiming to her murderer “I beg of you, I have a child”.

Favorite ABC Daytime Rat Bastard?

Edward Quartermaine

Adam Chandler

Palmer Cortlandt

Asa Buchanan

How I miss when soaps had older dastardly love to hate business tycoons fucking shit up for the children and women in their lives. I’m pretty sure these four men had a combined 50 wives (Edward’s the only one who managed to stick with one woman most of his life).

These shows were able to lead all of them down some really dark paths yet never quite over the line. Or maybe the writing and acting was just so good that you could move past some of the unethical and immoral things that they did. They were never evil evil, just incredibly selfish and manipulative…and controlling…and not great fathers or husbands or friends…but oh so charming!

Narrated by Robert Guillaume, the HBO anthology series featured a classic fairy tale told via diverse cultural backgrounds, where the characters are voiced by many other celebrities such as Will Smith, Sinbad, Rosie Perez, BD Wong, Tone Loc, and more.

All I remember of this series is that he’s an elephant. SO reading the following description was fucking wild:

The plot of the first two seasons focuses on the story of Babar's childhood as it is told by him to his children. The past Babar is a young elephant who, **traumatized by a hunter slaughtering his mother**, flees from his home forest in exile to the city, where a kind Old Lady adopts him and teaches him the ways of human life. He returns to his home forest full of ideas for progress and, following the previous **elephant king's death from eating poisonous mushrooms**, hatches a plan to drive out the unnamed hunter and his men. For his heroism, Babar is crowned king of the elephants, plans and builds Celesteville, and grows up to become a father himself.
