Help with den. Finisterrae

I bought this back in March at an orchid show and posted here several weeks ago about some rot and leaf drop that was going on. I got physan 20 and sprayed it about 2 weeks ago. A couple more leaves got black spots and dropped afterwards. I spoke with the seller and he thought I had root rot, so I pulled it out of the pot today. The roots don’t seem rotten to me? It was extremely compact in the pot and it’s a challenge for me to get the medium out from the roots, but I’m doing it slowly but surely. He told me to cut anything rotten off (I don’t see anything rotten) and spray the roots with physan.

There is a new can coming up so I don’t want to give up on it! It’s isolated from my other orchids.

Any feed back is appreciated.

Breaking up this root ball?

I got this staghorn several weeks ago potted in soil in a hanging basket. I want to mount it but I’m afraid of breaking up this root ball. The outer part is easy to shake the soil out but the inner part feels like a plug almost? I’m afraid I am going to destroy the roots and kill it if I keep breaking it up. Help?

Repotting this dendrobium?

I got this debdrobium red emporer prince a few months ago on clearance. I assume it had recently bloomed. The plant has been really unstable in the pot and some leaves have dropped. I know I need to repot it so looking for advice. I live in Indiana, USA.

Any glaring issues? (Newbie)

I bought my first desert rose a couple weeks ago from Menards (in Indiana, USA). I moved it from the deep plastic pot it was in to a terra cotta, and used the same soil it was in but mixed in some bark from my orchid mix. Watered it twice in the last few weeks. It's in my kitchen with a lot of indirect light (which I now know probably isn't enough). Over the last week the caudex has felt kind of squishy and some leaves have browned in spots or yellowed and fallen off. All of the flower buds that were on it when I bought it fell off, which wasn't shocking to me. Anyway, does it look healthy? Are the roots ok? Is she just parched?
