First and foremost does it LOOK like a penguin? I’m making it for my friend (he knows I’m new at all this) but if I can make any changes to it before I give it to him I want to. Idk what happened with the feet. Are they salvageable? Or should I just leave them. Any advice on altering the beak/wings? Thanks!

Second carving done after my first monstrosity the other day. I’d like to think I improved already 🤣 thank you to all the advice from my last post — I think my main issues was the pressure. This one is still choppy, but I made sure to follow the grain best I could and not push down so hard. I can’t wait to do more! (Featuring the bandaid over my first carving injury 😱)
I feel like these stats should be a given, especially in ranked. Somebody can be doing great in kill count but spent all of 20 seconds on objective — and we lose. Not a strategist main but I think our supports deserve to be able to call out the “gg no heals” crowd when necessary. These stats would ultimately improve gameplay as people would actually be able to see what they’re doing right/wrong. I feel like it’s not that crazy of an ask.
I’m in literal tears rn at how ridiculous this is but like… it’s my first go I’m not suprised it turned out so bad. But in all seriousness, I had a hard time with the stop cuts and the wood splintering the most. Especially with the middle part there. Am I putting too much pressure? Any advice helpful. I’ve been playing for over 10 years now. This is the only game I ever turn my ringer on for. I love the music, and it pairs in my head with gameplay. I don’t mind when they switch it up for holidays and such, but for this event, they’ve committed the ultimate betrayal against me. Not only does this guys voice genuinely drive me to madness, but the fact that the song RESTARTS if you go to the fishing spots/town is infuriating. I think having a background song with lyrics for a mobile game should be a crime. Especially when turning off the music all together leaves me in a lifeless void of silent and dreary farming gameplay. Horrendous! I’ll never get this song out of my head.

So a few years back when I first came to college I met this guy and we became gym buddies. I wore my mjölnir necklace and he had one too, we talked a lot about our faith and paganism. He was super cool. We eventually kinda just fizzled out as college got busy and we lost touch. Either way, I won’t forget one specific conversation we had after one of our first workouts.
Not sure how the topic came about but we’re were talking about astral projection and stuff like that and he said he’s very in tuned with his dreams and as am I. He said he gets signs from the gods a lot, and after he gave me examples I realized maybe I hadn’t been paying enough attention. Not sure how exactly he said it, but basically he said he just had a really strange feeling that the Norns had something to do with me (?) or were wanting to get involved with me? I don’t know, but it’s stuck with me years later.
Fast forward to these past few weeks. I’m graduating college. Out of some insane luck, I end up lined up right next to the guy at the ceremony. I was like no shit who woulda thought I didn’t think I’d see you again, it was a cool reunion but whatever. It had me thinking about the Norns again. Strange timing given the insanely drastic shift in my life happening (graduating college, moving, new job, etc) and all the uncertainty.
Last night I was out on a walk and I was going through a really rough time just worrying about the future and all these changes and i had my headphones on and was walking down the road when I saw three does laying no more than 5 feet away from me in the grass. They had watched me approach and didn’t move. When I saw them I stopped and nodded at them, seeing if they’d run off. But they just laid there. Three deer. I spoke for a moment, just saying hello and that they looked nice (why the hell not I was crashing out anyways) and they just watched me intently. Maybe I’m reading too far into this, but are the gods trying to tell me something? the Norns specifically?
How could I find out/maybe grow a connection with them? Any specific offerings/advice for working with them? Thank you!
