My revenge on swiggy for malpractices
I placed an order for Rs 500 yesterday around 6:50 pm. When checked around 7:10 pm, a delivery person was assigned, but he was too far. When I checked after 5 minutes, he was still at the same place. I tried to resolve the issue with the chatbot for 20 minutes but couldn't change the delivery person. Finally, I found the Swiggy customer care number and called them; they immediately changed the delivery person.. It's already 7:50. The new delivery person is also not moving. I called customer care again and asked them to cancel the order as it had been 1 hour already. They kept saying they cannot refund. I have to bear the total cost as a cancellation fee. Whenever I ask them to connect me to their manager, they put my call on hold for 5 to 10 minutes and then disconnect the call. I gave up at this point, and the food got delivered at 9 PM, after 2 hours.
Today I placed a COD order for 1400 rupees from a good restaurant to a different location. When they contacted to deliver, I told them to cancel it as they were late again. As far as I know, Swiggy will have to pay the restaurant the full amount and also pay the delivery guy, and on top of that, the delivery guy can enjoy the delicious food.
