How much longer until Disney acquires the Sony films?
I'm diehard muppet fan and have been extremely appreciative of their recent revival in pop culture. One thing that I really like is the random merch drops. However, I'm not a big muppet Treasure Island fan, but I have more merch from that film than my favorite, which is Muppets Take Manhattan. So the more that they do these limited drops and celebrate anniversaries, do we think they'll ever acquire the rights to the muppet film they currently don't have, and celebrate those as well?
I remember when Spider-Man came into the MCU, fans talked about maybe Disney could make another deal with Sony to get those muppet films. I don't know if that was actually a real conversation or if it's even something they're open to, but I love Muppets Take Manhattan way too much to not have it in The Muppets collection on Disney+.
Long rant, but let me know your thoughts. I would love to see more complete muppets merchandise with how much they're pumping it out.
