Glide Shawl & Assigned Pooling

I am a fairly experienced knitter, but I am really not pleased with how my glide shawl is looking. This is the first time I’ve done anything like assigned pooling to create the little flowers. Are the holes/gaps on either side of the assigned pooling normal? What am I doing wrong?

I will also say, just to vent, that I am really disappointed with the colors in my skein. Compared to the example pictures on the web site and in the pattern, the yarn I received looks so washed out. I know that’s just how it goes when buying online, but I’ve never been disappointed with the yarn I bought before.😞

Clarification About Drs Bjorkman Sleep Training

Hi! I have not started sleep training yet but I am beginning to do research and start planning. (My baby is almost 4 months now.) I watched the Doctors Bjorkman’s sleep training video on YouTube. I’m have a question about the timing of going into the bedroom to reassure baby. They say you go in for 20 to 30 seconds and talk or put your hand on the baby. I just want to make sure I’m understanding correctly that the baby may still be crying after that 20 to 30 seconds? If they are still crying, you leave the room and set your timer for 10 minutes (or 15 minutes depending on how many times you’ve gone to console already)? Or do you stay in console until they’ve stopped crying?

Another quick question- they specifically talk about day 1, 2, and 3 of sleep training. Are you supposed to accomplish sleep training in 3 days or do you do the training for however many days it takes?

Thanks for the help! Here is the video I was referring to.

I am planning to make a fisherman rib sweater for my partner, and there’s not one pattern that I really like. I prefer knitting in the round and the best pattern that I’ve found is flat knitting and piecing together the sides (I’ve never done this and am not very keen on it). I’m planning on kind of free styling and just making a sweater in fisherman rib for him following the basic steps from other sweaters I’ve knit, but I have a question about the collar and the hymn. Should I do those in fisherman rib too or should I just do a 1x1 or 2x2 rib? What do you all think or recommend? (I like making him sweaters from Petite Knit)
