New ‘Where I Worked’ Requirement in Astro

It’s here folks! I don’t watch those Q4 All Hands calls to know if they directly mentioned it but it was ~barely~ mentioned in the FY26 closing email sent out today/yesterday. PwC i’m sure is soft launching a ROT order or using it for internal metrics😭

My DL also mentioned they plan to start tracking AI usage and have set metrics for us, not sure when they plan to roll that out though.

How to roll off project as an Associate?

I was told you essentially have 1 “get out of jail free card” to move projects. For context I am an experienced Associate 3 come July.

Using an example, let’s say I work in Advisory as an Oracle consultant. My current project is not in scope with my industry and have the title as “Workday” consultant.

Originally my roll off date was end of June. They now adjusted to tentatively end of July, but put me in flex (if client approves) to Sept 4th.

I want out. Not only is this project starting to creep up in demands for skills I don’t have and don’t have support for, but I want to be promoted this year and will have spent 6-7 months on an engagement outside my sector. It’s a good team of people, but I don’t want to risk me not being able to adhere to expectations and get a bad snapshot (I’m already on shaky ground with bs from a toxic manager previously).

A favorite SM ends her project end of June near my original date, and I know would gladly take me if I’m free to be selected. That being said, how can I have an honest conversation with my DL about how this project is outside my scope without giving the impression I can’t handle hard things during promo year? I just don’t want this biting me in the ass because I can honestly reflect and see this is not the right work for me.

Hello,

I currently work at PwC (Associate 3), which offers a masters reimbursement program, one of which allows more $ contribution on the basis of a 2 year contract following completion.

I’m in Advisory, specifically software implementation, and I’m wondering what are potential options that provide the best consulting/post consulting values within the field. I’m not certain what I want to do post Big4 yet, but plan to remain at the firm (if I don’t breakdown) for at least 5 years for my retirement account to vest.

Any advice would be appreciated, thank you!
