Travel and baby comfort

Please help me find the carrier of my husband's dreams.

We have a trip coming up when our baby will be about 4m old. There will be a long day of travel on each end and I want my husband and I to babywear as much as possible. My husband wants to find the softest and most comfortable carrier we can find. He saw a woman wearing a baby in a carrier that looked super soft and molded to the baby but unfortunately has no further details for me. I am looking at the Bjorn harmony and the Wildbird Ariel carriers primarily but please steer me in another direction if there are better options.

My only fit request is that it have a hip strap for lumbar support. I looked at the wiki and am looking into specific fitting but I was just wondering if there were any suggestions for a carrier that will be the most comfortable for everyone. Budget isn't the biggest concern, we just want to find the right one.

Nordstrom “baby registry” isn't actually a "Registry"

I had a really great in-store experience with Nordstrom and even managed to order and receive a Nuna Triv stroller system after hearing about stock issues and canceled orders.

Because of that experience, I decided to create my baby registry through Nordstrom’s website and already sent the registry link out with my baby shower invitations.

Then my cousin told me she had purchased a few items — except nothing showed as purchased on my registry.

I contacted customer service thinking it was a syncing issue and was told:

> Thank you for your inquiry. While we do not have a standalone registry available on our website, there may be third-party services that offer the option to include Nordstrom in their registries. We apologize for any inconvenience you may be experiencing.

After sending screenshots showing that I had created the registry directly through their website, they clarified that it’s actually more of a wishlist feature and there’s currently no way to mark items as purchased.

So apparently multiple people can buy the same thing and there’s no registry reconciliation at all.

Posting as a heads up in case anyone else is considering using Nordstrom for a baby registry. Has anyone dealt with this before or found a workaround after invitations were already sent?
