Should I swap to 19s?

I just got my 23 MS standard and it came with the 21" arachnids. I think they look great but a lot of people say the drive is better and more efficient with 19s. I assume specifically they mean the tempests.

Is it worth swapping them out? Are there any other wheels people like that improve ride quality or range?

New (to me) car day

Just took delivery of my 2023 model S. Only driven about 15 miles total but it really is something else. Really happy with my choice of this over the new model Y so far.

Considering the swap, would love opinions on MY and MS

I'm aware this is a covered topic, but I haven't been able to find answers for some specifics I've been wondering.

After experiencing FSD first hand from a friend of mine, I've more or less decided that I want to make the jump over to a tesla. I'm coming from a mach-e, so I'm familiar with the EV side of things, but definitely new to the tesla lineup.

My main thing is FSD ability. My commute is 80 or so miles each way, all freeway driving. Ford's blue cruise has been nice but it's definitely nowhere near what FSD is capable of, and having that luxury to ease my commute is going to be a massive quality of life upgrade for me.

My second thing is usability. This is going to be in a singular car household, which includes myself, my partner, and our two young kids. The mach-e meets our needs as it is, so useable cargo space is a necessity. This essentially rules out the M3.

The last thing is comfort. I've driven in a MY and M3, and compared to the mach-e, they are quite barebones. The ride seems a bit less smooth in the teslas compared to our car, and the materials are definitely more on the budget side of things. I've not had an opportunity to sit or ride in a MS, but I hear that they are on the more premium side of things when it comes to ride quality and materials.

As for budget, we're trying to spend somewhere in the $40k range.

This leaves us with two main options:

  1. A pre-owned MS (most likely with HW3, since HW4 ones are quite pricier)

  2. A pre-owned MY (with HW4, 2024+)

I'm leaning towards a MS since I've come to really appreciate higher quality and comfort. But, is the difference from HW3 to HW4 is a large enough gap to consider forgoing on some luxury for the usability of FSD? Should I just hold off a bit until the price of a HW4 MS comes down a bit? Maybe the HW5 will be able to be retrofit into a HW3 MS? Any thoughts or discussion is appreciated.

is Esquire IMAX really as bad as I've read?

I've never been there but I'm hoping to see the odyssey in IMAX. I looked it up and the esquire is an actual 70mm projector so that piqued my interest. then I read a bunch of stuff on this sub from months ago that the theater was sort of in disarray. is that still the case? is it worth the annoyance to see there versus just another digital IMAX with more comfort?

Business casual advice for a metalhead?

I'm starting to become important at work and I don't think it's becoming of me to continue wearing jeans and bands shirts with various jackets or flannels every day but at the same time, I don't want to lose my personality in some cookie cutter business casual polo shirt style.

Does anyone have some inspiration examples they might be able to share with me to get some ideas of how I can make alt fashion work friendly?
