How on earth do y’all afford games and accessibility equipment? Any recommendations on how I can make money from bed?

Hi :)

Basically, title!

I’m bedridden, and currently have zero income… so gaming has taken a back seat and it’s made the days feel even longer than they already do…

I recently came across UserTesting and a few other playtesting companies that have paid gigs… but it seems like they’re pretty infrequent, from what I’ve seen so far.

If there’s anything like that you can recommend, or other ways of making money while flat on my back/side with a mouse, a keyboard, an iPad, or a gaming PC, it would seriously make my life so much brighter 💗

I have a history in art and design, and previously got by on monthly royalties from a product I designed years ago… but that’s unfortunately dried up and the company that produced it isn’t interested in pursuing anything further.

If you have a specific idea that can put those abilities to work- even better! I have a good eye and I can articulate visual/UX ideas well after a lot of experience in playtesting/QA/feedback that people have found useful in the past. I can write, and I’m a great editor, but I feel most of that has gone to AI in recent years.

Seriously anything at all that y’all can recommend would be huge- I really just want to be able to try some newer games with my friends online… or be able to afford a new monitor to hang over my bed since my current one went bad.

So yeah- how do you guys get by and keep gaming? (:

Thanks for reading, and for any info or ideas! Sending love to all of you <3
