An investigation was opened on my missing package 7/6. The last scan was at a facility 3 hours from my home. Today I checked and it's still at that facility (hopefully) but I got a delivery date for Wednesday 7/15. Does this mean they found my package?

I have been patiently waiting for a 2 day air package that was ordered on 30 June, it is now 12 July. The sender opened an investigation last week. This package cost $1500 and I'm worried about theft. I've already ordered something smaller from the same company, and it got here in 3 days, so I see everything is moving fine. How long is a normal investigation and how long does it usually take to declare as lost?
