Looking for help understanding what I need

Thanks in advance. Idiot homeowner in Connecticut where electric rates are insane ($0.43+/- after you include delivery). So I'm looking to add plug in solar now that it's legal, plan to get a dedicated outlet added and only have enough sunny space in the yard for 3-4 panels. Plenty more space they just won't get as much sun. Also like to add a whole home battery backup to cover a couple days of power before I have to use a gas generator.

Looking at kits from Mango Solar and USSolar Supplier but not sure if I need to limit myself to 1200w with these kits (state limit).

Also how do I best add a battery into this equation. Had thought something like an EG4 was the answer but after emailing then it's more for larger solar setups I guess.

Appreciate any help trying to figure this out.

Dumb question from idiot hone owner

In the middle of what I thought would be a quick job, adding shelves in the grout of a shower and can't get the shelves anywhere close to flush. Are they supposed to be? Worried if I go any deeper with the razor blade or Dremel I'm going to pierce the waterproofing. Been at it for a couple hours and using the Dremel sparingly but still pretty far from flush.

Shelves are Bernkot for reference:

What have I done...

Been pondering this a while, finally got to ordering a bunch of thread options to find a match for STI neon and found one to match...one piece down 20 or whatever to go...

(For reference I did this by hand, it took forever and probably doesn't look great by whatever standard these things should be judged but I just like the color (have it on the brembos and a few vinyl accents) and wanted to get rid of the red on the interior.)

Odd advice request (wrapping inner mirror)

Looking to duplicate something I'd seen where the inner cap/housing/etc. of the side mirrors are wrapped an accent color. The color I'm after is the sti neon yellow, which is apparently all but impossible to find but I found a source for it (ORAFOL 6510 Fluorescents) albeit non traditional wrap material. Any advice on how to go about this given the access is limited and angles/interruptions don't allow for many smooth stretches.

Obviously taking the glass off but even with that I don't have much space to work with, and I'm no kind of expert at any of this to add to the difficulty.

Thanks in advance.

(Also shout out to the team @ Stickerfab for sharing the source for the material in the color I'm after)
