Your Türkiye Scholarship Journey Starts Here — Join Our Support Group

Hey everyone!
I applied for the Türkiye Scholarships this year, finished all the documents, got the initial acceptance, and even completed the interview. After going through all that, I realized a lot of people need a place to ask questions, share experiences, and get real advice from others who are applying too.

So I made a WhatsApp group for anyone interested in the scholarship , whether you’re applying now or planning to apply next year. We help each other out, share tips, and talk about our experiences.

If you want to join:

You’re all welcome , let’s support each other through the process.

CSCA Chinese Subject / What Is It Actually Like?

Hi everyone,

I'm asking specifically about the Chinese Language subject in the CSCA exam.

I've seen many discussions about the Math, Physics, and Chemistry sections, but I can barely find any information about the Chinese Language section itself.

Could anyone who has taken the exam (or knows about it) explain what this subject is actually like?

What types of questions are included?

How difficult is it?

Is it mainly reading, vocabulary, grammar, or writing?

What HSK level would you compare it to?

Is the Chinese Language subject mandatory for all applicants, just like Math?

I am planning to apply for a Chinese-taught bachelor's program. I currently have no Chinese language certificate and virtually no Chinese language background. The university I am interested in states that students who do not meet the language requirement can first study Chinese for 1–2 years before starting their major.

In this situation, is the Chinese Language section of the CSCA still required? If it is, what level of Chinese is realistically needed to pass it?

I've seen some people mention HSK 3, but I am not sure whether that is accurate. Can someone who has taken the exam share their experience?

I would greatly appreciate any information, official sources, or personal experiences.

Thank you!

Strong Interview vs. Weak IQ Test Result in the Türkiye Scholarships Process

Hey everyone,
I wanted to share my experience with the Türkiye Scholarships (YTB) process so far, and maybe get some advice from people who went through it.

Back in mid‑May, I received an email saying that I passed the preliminary evaluation and was invited for both the interview and the IQ test.

To be honest, my interview went really well.
I introduced myself confidently, talked about my goals after graduation, and explained why I chose my major (Business Administration). The committee was very friendly and the whole atmosphere felt comfortable.

One interesting thing happened:
After listening to my future plans and how I want to contribute to my country, one of the committee members suggested that I consider switching my major from Business Administration to Management Information Systems (MIS) because he felt it fits my goals better.
That actually made me feel like they understood my vision.

BUT… the IQ test was a disaster for me.
I couldn’t focus at all, and I honestly feel like I performed really poorly.

Now I’m worried…
Will a bad IQ test result ruin my chances, even though:

  • My high school GPA is 95%
  • My interview was very strong
  • The committee seemed to like my answers?

Has anyone been accepted even with a weak IQ test performance?
Any insight would really help.

Thanks in advance! .

( By the way, I'm from Syria )
