Does anyone know why my chain would break here? I have suction cups as my lead and the water where I'm fishing borders 3 non surfing tiles (but they're still water tiles) and my chain has broken twice, one at 19 and another just now at 42. What gives?
Playing oras (horde shiny hunting) and a new playthrough on my childhood emerald. Got a berry smoothie and some coffee to go along with it. What could be better??
I found a dream shiny yesterday at only 575 srs 🤯. My last few legendary hunts shined at 9 and 10k so I was absolutely ecstatic when this appeared on my screen.

I had done quite a bit of prep work to catch this in a net ball (which looks amazing IMO) including two successful test captures.

Here was my strat:

Bronzong with def and hp ev investments. Moves are Hypnosis, Iron Defense, Trick, and Extrasensory.

First move is using an x accuracy. This makes Hypnosis about 80% accurate.

Then Hypnosis

Then Iron Defense (to better tank Shadow Force)
​
Then Extrasensory twice (and a third time after an omniboost) to whittle down HP.

Then throw balls and heal as needed.

Eventually I tricked the leppa berry once Shadow Force was out of pp but unfortunately it revived Ominous Wind PP.

40 net balls and 2 omniboosts later, I was not successful so I had to throw the master ball. Oh well....I am still buzzing that I got this beast of a shiny under 1000 srs!!!!

Been hunting this for about 3 months so it was amazing to finally see the sparkles!!
Thoughts on the nickname?
My DF journey began last August when I found some no IDs at my local home depot. I quickly became obsessed with these plants!
Since then, I've purchased some PG, VW, Lisa, and Purple Haze cuttings. In only a year, I can not believe the growth, and my obsession continues!!
