Family of 4 - but only 3 ski. Considering logistics.

Ski bus cost $36/day. So 3 pax for 6 days = NZD648

Driving up is the cheapest I'm assuming, although that means the Mrs will be stuck up there waiting for us. She could drive down again I suppose depending how she feels like it.

Given the cost, we're looking at driving since we will already have a car with us anyway, renting an AWD.

Some questions:

* How difficult is it to drive up & down The Remarkables? Looking at Google Maps it seems .... OK but hard to gauge.

* Snow chain, any special thing I need to look out for? Or the whatever the rental company provided is good enough?

* Anything else I need to consider/think about when using car rental to drive up The Remarkables?

Found in our gutter, was done this way because the previous owner added a room and this is how they redirected the water instead. Dodgy? Most likely .. but it is what it is.

Attached to a pipe, water then flows down to the gutter of the extension. I want to add a few more.

PS: yes I know it needed cleaning, that's why I was up there.

As per title - what do you all think about the chances of NL companies surviving post EV FBT exemption after a significant growth recently?

Not trying to trash the industry, I have one running so I do want them to survive. But I do wonder if this need to be taken into consideration when choosing NL provider? Something that has a long history vs new firm started last year?

The car is finally here and the dealership is getting it ready for pick up (yay!)

Anyone has any useful checklist I should have for pick up?

For those who have driven in motorway, what's your experienced effective range? The Inspire's WLTP is 450km. So I'm expecting around ... 350km?

Hi all newbie question.

First trip to Queenstown, first to NZ actually. Planning to go the The Remarkables and about to buy the lift passes.

Now ... maybe I'm missing something but when I try to buy multiple day pass, it doesn't seem to have any option to specify start - end date?

All I can see if the quantity of the pass I want to get. I'm a bit confused ... or maybe I'm just so used to the Australian system where you actually have to say which day you're going.

Is this correct? Just get 6 individual passes and use it 6 days consecutively?

Is it possible to fix this? I keep seeing this error:

I've tried to safely eject the Time Machine external drive, plug it back in. Turn off timemachine and turn it back on. No luck so far.

Any idea?

Question for those got the trickle charge cable, does it work with 15A socket?

Considering getting the 15A socket installed rather than spending thousands for the wall charger if possible.
