Extending Watch / Battery Life

TLDR: This is probably a stupid question but do people try to extend the life of their watch by charging their battery a certain way?

Love my Instinct 2X Dual Power. Had an Instinct 1 before and battery life became too limiting in the end. This is what I dislike about all the (for the rest awesome) wireless headphones, headlamps, and this watch. I find it a waste of money and material resources if a perfectly fine piece of gear gets replaced after a couple of years. I also kind of doubt with prices going up even more, if I will buy a new one when my current Instinct 2X kicks it.

This made me think about if different use or charging practices would extend the overall life of the battery / watch?

I thought about only wearing it when training, not also casually. But then I seem to remember with phones or tablets that it is often better practice in the long run to charge less, but more frequently. So to not let the battery go to 10% and charge to 100 every day.

I train 3~4 times a week depending on work, of course I use the Instinct then. But if the above statement is correct then I might as well wear the Instinct casually daily as well, and charge it every week or so.

Realize I’m probably way overthinking this. Hope you will indulge me and share your thoughts.
