How many of you still riding the Moro 05/07

I have seen this sub have gone lot quieter in the last year or so, and majority of the activities are related to folks sharing their Crosscore or Wabash experiences or issues. Some selling their bikes. Definitely lot less buzz compared to when this sub was created in 2024, when the massive sale indulged a lot of people into getting these bikes, including me.

I got a Crosscore RC in the sale, sold it within a month and got a Moro 05. Still riding it (about 500 miles), thanks to a plethora of MTB trails in PNW area. I am curious though, how many of you have help onto your Moros, or mostly moved on to other eMTBs? I am still a semi-novice mt-biker, so I haven't hit any limitations with my 05, but I am wondering, are people perhaps moving to other bikes for issues, limitations, warranty claims, etc?

Saddle upgrade on Moro

I mostly ride on paved trails with my Moro 05. I use a chamois liner (Zoic essential) under my bike pants. But after each 15/20 mile rides I am getting sit bones pain so I am guessing it may be the stock saddle that came with the Moro? I dont have numbness or chaffing, and the size and width of the stocks saddle seems to be good for me. So is it the firmness that needs to be changed with a new saddle?

Anyone have similar issues? If so, what saddle did you switch to?

Compact emtb hitch rack solution

I have a Tesla 2018 MS 75D. Recently got an e-mountain bike, a Yamaha Moro 05. What are the options to install a bike-rack hitch that isn't too expensive that supports weight of a single eMTB? I was planning to get the 1UP rack. Anyone care to chime-in with what they have installed?

Also, did you install the hitch yourself or through an installer? How is the process if I decide to do it in my garage, considering I don't have any lift-jacks? I am in Seattle area.

Question about transit

We've got a trip to Switzerland and Italy coming up on Aug 16. Two adults, two kids (7 and 3). One check-in luggage, two backpacks, one umbrella stroller. Flying into Basel, and flying from from Milan.

Should we buy half-day pass for the trips given the following transit options that we will need to take? Also, the final leg of the trip is from Zermatt to Milan. Here are the transit we will need to take:

Basel to Basell SBB bus 50

Basel SBB to Luzerne train

Cog Railway to Mt pilatus, cable car from Mt Pilatus to Luzerne

Luzerne to Interlaken train

Rosenlaui Valley bus - PostBus line 164

Breinz Rothorn Steam train

Interlaken OST to Kleine Scheidegg

Mannlichen cable car

Trains to Jungfraujoch upper

Train from interlaken OST to Grindelwald

Interlaken to Saanen and Gstaad

Train from Interlaken to Zermatt transfer (Interlakenn, Spiez, Kandersteg, Brig, Zermatt)

Gornergrat Railyway, Matterhorn

Zermatt to Visp to Brig to Domodossola to Milan Central

Does it make sense to get half-pass for these? Or Swiss day pass will be a better option? Looks like the Jungfraujoch alone is worth the half pass?

Another questions is, do we need to book any of these tickets beforehand or just buying it on the day of the day is okay (through SBB) to have flexibility in timing?

Genie Agents: Efficient design

Databricks user for 2 years. But recently started to build apps with Genie Agents, beginner level. Would like to understand the best practice for efficient agent design, as I am finding the chat and agent responses very slow.

So I built an agent on top of a lakehouse gold layer (about 15 tables consisting of dim and facts, none has more than 30 columns, about 50,000 rows max, most tables are under 3000 rows). All of these gold tables are materialized views. Provided about 20 example questions and SQL queries to configure the agent. Provided some clear general instrustions in text about KPIs, key metrices, some join keys, timestamps, some data notes.

This is using a serverless compute, small size. Now when I ask questions in the chat, the agent takes about 30sec or more to come back with the replies. Asking the same questions (that I used in examples) also take similar times. Is this normal or expected, even for structured tables? Maybe I am missing something in the workflow?

7 day Switzerland trip, advice on transportation and logistics

We are travelling on August 15 in Basel from US for a 7-day trip to the beautiful Switzerland. We are 4 people (2 adults in 40s, 2 kids -8 yr and 3 yr old). First time visiting Europe. 1 lugguage (full size, 23KG), plus 2 backpacks and a simple umbrella stroller. For the draft plan as below, should we use the Swiss train system or should we rent a car? I only looked at parking option in Tasch but no idea about other parking options or tolls. Also, if we need to take trains, will the half-pass be worth it?

The draft plan is:

Day 1: Land in Basel, Visit Lucerne (Mt Pilatus and Mt Rigi areas, and maybe Mt Titlis if possible)

Day 2: The Bernese Oberland: Interlaken, Lakes, Harder Kulm, Ballenberg Open-Air Museum (Brienzwiler)

Day 3: The Bernese Oberland again: Hasliberg & Meiringen (East Oberland), Hasliberg Muggestutz Storybook Trails, Brienz Rothorn train / Gentler Brienz Rothorn steam train, Grindelwald

Day 4: The Bernese Oberland: Lauterbrunnen & Jungfrau Region, Lauterbrunnen - Lauterbrunnen Church (Kirche), Staubbach Falls, Kleine Scheidegg, Rosenlaui Valley, Jungfraujoch

Day 5: Travel to Geneva via GoldenPass Railway : Lake Geneva cruise, chateaux de chilion children castle

Day 6: Travel south to Valais & The High Alps - The Lötschental Valley, Zermatt - Gornergrat Railway, Matterhorn (no hiking just sightsee)

Day 7: Travel to Milan, Italy (we return to US from Milan) - Not sure which train to take here.

For Days 2-5, possibly take a hotel in Interlaken that is close to train station? Would love recommendations for places to stay. Also may be a silly question, but generally how is the weather in Mig to late August?

Any suggestions, big red-flags in the plan? Any tips on how to carry luggage between train stations and places of interest?

Closed back for 80s pop and EDM

Hi all, what would you suggest for a closed back headphone over ear that is better than my current Beyerdynamic DT770 Pro 250ohm. Mainly to listen to music like 80s pop rock, modern edm. Not for monitoring or music production. Strictly listening. Looking to stay below 300 USD possible.

Ideally I do not want to drive if through an amp, mostly through MacBook Pro M5 max directly.

Databricks managed tables and raw files

Need some tips on architectural decision for migration to Databricks. Right now I have ADLS2 storage (medallion: bronze/silver/gold) by source systems in the bronze layer. This is current structure that data is ingested into bronze (folder for each source system ingested, followed by created year, date, and then parquet files).

bronze/

source1/

tickets/

2026/

05/

07/

*.parquet

For the new ADLS2 storarge (delta tables, schema managed storage by Databricks Unity catalog), the structure came to this when I did the conversion. The catalog looks fine, but the physical storage looks like this.

bronze/

managed/

__unitystorage/

schemas/

<GUID>/

tables/

<GUID>..

<GUID>..

Basically, the physical storage is not tracking the folder structure by source system. Is this standard for Databricks schema managed tables? What happens if for audit purposes, a raw file is requested from the Bronze container? How to I obtain that? How do you all manage raw original files (csvs, json, pdfs etc) in general in this architecture?

We are in the process of starting migration from Azure Synapse to Databricks. The Synapse currently has a standard lakehouse setup, with three Azure resource groups (dev, test, prod), each of them has a ADLS2 storage container. The container has the Bronze, Silver, Gold folders in them. And the files are all parquet files by source systems in each of the folders.

Question is, can the current storage accounts and folders be ratained and have Databricks resources connect to the ADLS2 (by access connector)? Or do we need to convert the parquet files to delta? The containers are live or course, with data being updated by Synapse pipelines daily (incremental or full load depending on the system).

Or is the best approach is to create a brand new ADLS2 account for Databricks and transfer the current files to the new one? And for that one the question still remains, retain the parquet files or convert them to Delta?
