Hi everyone,

Are there many golfers based around Twickenham or the South West London area on here?

I’ve been playing casually for a few years now, but I’m looking to take the plunge and join a club. My main goals are to finally get an official handicap, get stuck into some proper competitions, and meet some new people to play rounds with.

Ideally, I'm looking for a club that won’t cost an arm and a leg. Strawberry Hill Golf Club is only a 25-minute walk from my place, so it’s right at the top of my list for sheer convenience.

Because it's a 9-hole course, I'd love to know:
* What is the vibe like for newer members joining solo?
* Is there an active competitive and weekend stableford scene?
* Does the 9-hole layout get repetitive, or does it hold up well?

If anyone has any experience with Strawberry Hill (or if you have any recommendations for other hidden gems or budget-friendly tracks nearby that I should look into) I’d really appreciate the insight!

Great news coming out of the latest Trading 212 update. As of 20th June we will be able to invest directly into any stock or ETF without having to set up a pie first. Exact wording from the update below:
