Wisconsin Flag Redesign

I am tired of all the state flags that are just the state seal on a field of blue, and I think Wisconsin deserves better. Here is my proposal for a new Wisconsin state flag:

First, let’s go over the design. The flag would be split up into four quadrants. The upper left and lower right quadrants would be blue, while the upper right and lower left quadrants would be green. In the middle of the flag would be an image of a badger. Simple and straightforward, but filled with meaning.

The blue of the upper left represents Lake Superior to the north and the mighty Mississippi River to the west. The blue in the lower right represents the Lake Michigan shoreline that dominates the eastern part of the state. The green in the upper right represents the north woods, while the green in the lower left represents the farmlands in the southern part of the state. Just as all these different regions are brought together into one state, these different sections of the flag are brought together by the badger, representing unity and a common Wisconsin pride.

The colors also have symbolism behind them:
“Tradition Blue” represents the storied history of the state, matching the blue of the current flag.
“Forward Green” embodies the spirit of the state motto.
“Lead Gray” matches the color of the lead mined by early settlers, where we get the “Badger State” name.

I know the image is a lion and not a badger. The lion was the closest animal to a badger in the app I used lol.

Well, there you have it, my proposal for a new state flag.

“Winter White” anyone who has spent a winter in Wisconsin already knows the symbolism behind this one.

The badger shown in the image is not the final design, but I think it shows the intent pretty well.

Well, there you have it, my proposal for a new state flag.

New Team Location

Where would you want the NFL to expand to? Not where you think they would, but where would it be fun in they did?
I’m thinking either Alaska or northern Canada with the stadium being outdoors to get some awesome winter games.
